SUNY Ulster Scholarship in Memory of Sally Berger

Sally Berger 1925-2021 Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc., recognizes the extraordinary support and contributions made
by Sally Berger and the Berger Family (her husband, the late Louis Berger, a founding Trustee of the College and founding Board of Director Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc. and one of her sons Peter, Trustee Emeritus and past Chairman). Sally, appointed to the Foundation Board on October 16, 1990, and named a Foundation board director Emerita in 1999 has been instrumental in ensuring the continued success of our Foundation. Sally has continuously supported numerous initiatives including the Louis Berger Memorial Scholarship, Lights for Learning, Trust for Technology, Gala, Annual Fund, Nursing Fund, and Arts at SUNY Ulster. Sally leaves us with many memories of her generous heart and unfailing support of others. An avid artist, Sally’s artwork has adorned many Gala events and in the homes of many in our community. Sally was recognized as an honoree at the Foundation’s inaugural Gala in 2000. She will be missed. A donation from the Foundation Board to the SUNY Ulster Memorial Scholarship fund has been made with appreciation and gratitude and a student in the 2020-2021 school year shall be awarded the scholarship in Sally’s memory, with preference given to a student from Ellenville.
