Patricia M. O'Brien and Timothy J. O'Brien Memorial Scholarship

Patricia was born in Kingston, NY on April 15, 1959. The oldest of five siblings, she lived in Lake Katrine, NY and attended Kingston Schools. Upon graduating from Kingston High School, (Class of 1977) she attended SUNY Ulster where she obtained an Associate Degree in Business Administration (Class of 1979). She went on to SUNY at Oneonta where she studied Economics. Patricia died in an automobile accident October 31, 1980. Patti, as she was known by friends and family, was active in many clubs and organizations. She loved the beach in the summer and was an avid skier in the winter months. She enjoyed photography and participated in Yearbook Club in both High School and College. At Oneonta she was also in the Economics Club. This scholarship is awarded to an entering student who is a Kingston High School graduate. Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in business administration or economics. Patricia’s brother, Timothy J. O’Brien, was a car enthusiast and a collector of classic cars. He loved tinkering with cars old and new and was a frequent participant at local shows. While Tim loved his cars, his children were his pride and joy. Tim was employed by Ellicott Development Corp of Buffalo, N.Y., as a project manager. This scholarship is for a senior graduating from Kingston High School with an interest in business administration and/or economics. Est. 1982
