Charles Haas Memorial Scholarship

Charlie, at age 17, a member of the High Falls Fire Department and an enlistee in the U.S. Air Force, was killed while fighting a fire on February 17, 1981. Charlie was an alumnus of the Rondout Valley High School (RVHS). The Charles Haas Memorial Scholarship at SUNY Ulster has been established to recognize a graduate of RVHS attending SUNY Ulster with a preference given to a student who has participated in sports and has been involved in public service.
