Joan and Andrew Bivona Memorial Scholarship

This award was established by Jody Bivona Mesches, Chair of the Nursing Department, in memory of her mother, Joan. Joan was an elementary school teacher for the New Paltz Central School System until her retirement in 1997. This award will be given to a graduating nursing student who demonstrates an aptitude for caring. Students who have worked with dementia patients or who plan to work with the geriatric population will be given preference for the award. Est. 2013.
