Dr. Erna Moss Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Erna Renker Moss was a founding faculty member at SUNY Ulster, where she taught German and French for almost 20 years. Throughout her full and committed life, Dr. Moss left a legacy of accomplishment and a remarkable record of personal involvement with causes and people around the world. Her work as a psychotherapist and in the founding of the American Hospice Association of Ulster County are only two among many endeavors to which she devoted her energies before moving to New Zealand. This scholarship in her memory was created by her son, Dr. Craig Moss, and his family and will be awarded to a student who excels in foreign language study. Dr. Moss passed away on April 22, 2003 at her home in New Zealand.
