Sarah M. Schmidt Memorial Scholarship

Sarah M. Schmidt was born in 1981 and lived for only two years. Sarah’s parents, Denise and Michael, and her brother Alex, have established an endowed scholarship in her name. During Sarah’s life, her family witnessed the love, patience and dedication of her special education teachers, and came to realize what an exceptional person is required to fill those shoes. The Sarah M. Schmidt Memorial Scholarship is available so that future Sarah M. Schmidt was born in 1981 and lived for only two years. The Sarah M. Schmidt memorial scholarship is available so that future generations of children who are born with difficult obstacles to overcome will benefit from a special person in their lives. Transferring second-year SUNY Ulster students who demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative average of at least 3.30 and plan to study Elementary Education or Adolescent Education are eligible. Preference is given to a student with an emphasis on Special Education. Est. 1998
