Senator Arthur H. Wicks Foundation Scholarship

A political legend in Ulster County, which he represented in the New York State Senate from 1927 to 1956, Senator Wicks supported the educational pursuits of scores of students throughout his life. Upon his retirement from the Senate he established the Arthur H. Wicks Foundation to formally provide scholarships in perpetuity, and later committed the Wicks Foundation assets to the Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc. scholarship program. Est. 1981
