Professor Derwin H. Stevens Physics Scholarship

SUNY Ulster Professor Emeritus, Derwin H. Stevens, has established a scholarship to be awarded to a graduating and transferring student who has completed at least two consecutive semesters of a physics sequence at SUNY Ulster. Candidates must plan to pursue further education in physics, science education, engineering, or a related field. It is the intent of the donor that the candidate’s grades in Physics are given highest priority, but the candidate’s performance in other sciences and mathematics should be considered as well. Of second priority is the candidate’s ability to understand the processes of science. This scholarship is academically based and science and engineering consensus is required for the award. Est. 1995
